The refuge

The refuge is a new structure with the appearance of a typical mountain cabin. For the construction, both inside and outside, it was used local old wood.

The shelter, is equipped with solar panels to guarantee an ecological production of hot water as well as the production of heating during the cold season.

Near the refuge, there are many glacial streams and lakes whose abundance of water supply power to the unit that produces electricity. In addition, the shelter is built with the criteria of energy saving, the walls are lined with thick insulating layers.

The kitchen

The refuge offers typical mountain cuisine and traditional dishes of the Aosta Valley such as the valpelleunentze, trifolette or polenta concia, accompanied by a large wine selection and local beers.

In sunny days, the shelter offers in the menu grilled meats.

Our desserts, made exclusively by our chef, are served throughout the day.

The rooms

The refuge has 8 rooms and 50 beds in total.
The refuge rooms are traditionally decorated and they have their own private bathroom and hot shower. Each of them can accomodate a maximum of 8 people.

They each are unique and take their name from a decorative Valdostano element, such as: LO TATA – LO PULLI – LA GROLLA etc.
Bedrooms are accessible for disabled guests and have suitable bathrooms.

The beds are equipped with a duvet, but towels are not provided. It is mandatory to use the sleeping bags and they can be rented at the shelter for € 3.

Relaxation and exhibition room

On the first floor you will find a large room in which you can relax, spending time with your children, consulting craft magazines, reading about Valle d’Aosta traditions and admiring Siro Vierin’s wooden carvings. Siro Vierin’s

Every year, an exhibition of a local painter is organised inside the shelter.

Rooms are available for every need of our clients (meetings, events …) after informing the Management.
